You know you are in Japan when...

...when you see geishas on their way to work.

Outside Omotosando Hills, Monday lunchtime.

...when you see Mt Fuji from the train.

A rare view of Mt Fuji from the north Tokyo, on the train line between Tokyo and Oomia.

... when you are offered 'mixed reef sand' for lunch.

...when your 2 year old goes shopping for high-tec toilet seats.

...when a monkey tries to sell you a mobile phone

NTT Do Co Mo salesman outside the Shinjuku Yodobashi camera superstore. The pitch is to take a photo of your child with the monkey, then offer to make a print for you. While you are waiting for the print they tell you how good their phones are.
