All through our trip to Macau I had terrible stomach cramps and diarrhea. It made the trip quite exciting since I didn't know from one minute to the next whether Id have an explosive event and embarrass myself. But the show had to go on, and I did the trip in short dashes from one toilet to the next...
So while we didn't get much chance to try the local cuisine, I had many opportunities to try the 'banheiros'. And I'm happy to report they were uniformly very clean and well stocked with paper.
Unlike the ones in Hong Kong. I often think that if the toilets in HK are any indication, if there ever is a war between China and the US, the Americans certainly won't have to worry about the Chinese aim.

Macau
On 30-Mar we did an overnight trip to Macau, taking the fast ferry from Macau Ferry terminal in central.
Unfortunately if was very wet and my i-phone battery ran out fairly early into the trip so I didn't get many good photos.
The iconic Facade of Sao Paulo
Granddad at the Fortalez de Monte. Under the fort is the Museu de Macau which had some very interesting displays as well as being nice and dry.
Looking west from the fort over the ruins of Sao Paulo. On the other side of the bay is China, the first time I'd seen it since arriving in Hong Kong.
San Domingos from the street Largo de Senado
Looking accross the Largo do Senado
Dinner in the Cafe Ou Mun in Travessa de S Domingos, which was very nice. I really wanted to try Macanese cuisine but we only had a few chances and didnt always choose well.

Granny and Grandad
Around Easter Granny and Granddad came to visit us. This was a real treat for Hannah.
And so was this easter egg.
This time round we took it fairly easy with the sight-seeing.
On Good Friday we went to church at St Johns Cathedral. This is Granny checking out the dean.
