Hannah's dream, of course, was for a dress like the one worn by Queen Elsa in the movie 'Frozen'. We feared this would be impossible, since Elsa dresses have been almost unobtainable globally for months and months, and we tried vainly to manage expectations.
We got to Disneyland for the open at 10am, and charged nervously through the Main Street megastore to the Princess Dress section. And behold! Dreams do come true! Hanging aloof and serene above a heaving scrum of little girls - the Elsa dress ! Hallelujah!
"All Frozen merchandise - Limit of 5 items per guest."

Hannah quickly tried it on for her size and we paid HKD 600 for the precious bundle. Mission accomplished! and it was still only 10:30am.
So we staggered exhausted to a restaurant to sit down and let our nerves recover from the excitement. And change outfits, of course.
Next a photo-op at the castle.

The remainder of the day was just a gentle coast back to earth. Hannah was in heaven and enjoyed processing regally around the park in her costume, twirling her cape and pretending not to notice the envious looks from hundreds of little chinese girls. (I wonder if this was bad feng shui).
I had taken a day off work in an unsuccessful attempt to avoid the crowds, but the park was more crowded than we had ever seen with 1hr waits for most of the rides. And hot. Very hot.
We only did 3 rides - 'Space Mountain', 'Toy Story Parachute Jump', and 'Its a Small World but the Queue is Air-conditioned'. Which was quite was enough for everyone, and we bailed-out at 3pm and headed home.
